For one of our clients, a global player in the field of mechanical engineering, we are looking for a dedicated Patent Engineer (f/m/d) for 35 hours per week for their location in Northern Bavaria.

Your tasks:

• Carrying out patent searches including the evaluation and preparation of the results.
• Responsibility for patent law support of new developments - Advising the research and development department
• Advising inventors, especially with regard to employee invention compensation
• Monitoring the market and competitors to prevent infringements of intellectual property rights
• Coordinating the conduct of proceedings by external law firms
• Coordinating with external law firms on IP applications with regard to obtaining, enforcing and defending them
• Optimization of patent portfolios, in corresponding searches, as well as in the exploitation of intellectual property rights

Your profile:

• Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physical engineering, or comparable; ideally qualification as "patent engineer
• Professional experience in the patent field
• Very good knowledge of English; at least fluent reading comprehension with regard to patent law English-language texts
