Global Head of IP Support Services (m/f/d)

For one of our clients, a renowned service company in the field of patents and trademarks, we are currently looking for a dedicated Global Head of IP Support Services (m/f/d) for the locations Munich or Luxembourg.

Your Tasks

  • Evaluate and expand both the location and scope of our clients' IP service offerings, including the possibility of new ancillary services, and implement an expansion strategy into new markets
  • Perform pricing and competitive analysis, stay informed about new market trends, and recommend strategies to improve market position
  • Act as liaison with our clients' business development team in new regions and with global marketing team on comprehensive expansion strategies
  • Establish and document criteria for selecting, training and managing staff
  • Formalize and document standard operational policies and procedures; develop short- and long-term goals, and define/track KPIs
  • Develop and implement improvement strategies, including technology solutions, for the IP Support Services
  • Prepare/monitor the business area budget
  • Partner with other departments/entities of our clients' company to establish efficient inter-departmental procedures and processes

Your Profile

  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on approach and comfortable leading results-driven teams
  • 4+ years service line management experience, preferably in an IP law firm or IP service provider
  • General knowledge of intellectual property terms and concepts preferred
  • Conceptual skills and aptitude for problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English is mandatory
  • Ability to present and coordinate activity with the business development teams, write responses to RFPs and present service offerings to prospective customers
  • Ability to work with customers to help define/clarify their needs and expand the scope of services provided to them
  • Ability to travel and visit our clients' other offices worldwide on an as needed basis
  • Familiarity with IP Management systems, such as DIAMS iQ is preferred
